ABOUT THE BOOK
Throughout my personal healing journey and my professional life as a doctor, I was repeatedly faced with the limitations of modern medicine. There were no answers to be found for my symptoms from within the medical model as it stood, and so this prompted my search for alternative options.
Despite what modality I tried, I could not seem to find the solutions. At the same time, I was seeing patients going through the exact same situation.
Faced with these limitations, I knew that there must be something more than the endless search outside of myself to find that one healer, that one modality, that would somehow be the solution I had been searching for, to fix it all.
What I discovered rather, was that the journey of true healing, was one of connection to self. That the symptoms that show up in our body or mind are there for a reason, serving as flags to show us where we need to look within.
This is where lies the art.
As we learn to tune into our inner wisdom, we can uncover the exact modality, food, behaviour or change we need to make to take the stepping stones on the path to health.
Ultimately there is no one fixed approach to healing.
One person’s path is not another’s, and our healing journeys are all unique.
Our answers always lie within.
With the space and stillness to uncover what these are, we can create our own healing path.

Praise for Body Wisdom
“Talia writes from the pain of her own personal journey with reflection and self-courage, which gives her writing a real depth and authenticity. There is an essential message of the need to listen to our own self and our body and to work with inner choice. As Talia states, the choice as to which ‘wolf ’ we feed – I really loved that. Current trauma therapy is continually moving to the importance of body awareness and that the body also holds deep memory. Talia’s own experience shows this power of the body to heal emotionally. So often it is from sharing the healing of personal traumas that others can also gain courage, so thank you Talia.”
Dr Sue Lutton, Psychiatrist/Psychotherapist
“Talia’s descriptions of the experience of perfectionism, anxiety, an eating disorder and depression were profoundly moving and gives the reader a poignant insight into those experiences. Her honesty shines through, like she is done hiding and there is nowhere else to go but the honest and raw experience. What also struck me is her bravery in sharing those incredibly painful experiences. I loved the poetry at the beginning of the chapters.”
Terry Levingthal, Clinical Psychologist
“A truly positive reflection into understanding who we are and how our own choices feed our inner ‘wolf’. Talia’s journey shows us the damage caused by striving for those impossible ‘perfectionistic’ expectations. Yet throughout it all, she maintains an attitude of gratitude, acceptance and dedication to growth. She gently illustrates to the reader the importance of taking self-responsibility, and that it is only “I” who can heal my life, no one else, whilst simultaneously reminding us that in our interconnected- ness we are never alone.”
Miriam Munitz, Human Resources
“Talia’s background in traditional medicine, combined with her under- standing of the spiritual and esoteric, can help forge that bridge that needs so desperately to be laid for the world. To combine science and spirituality is like the merging of the divine masculine and divine feminine in each of us – something the world desperately needs in all areas.”
